About the Affordable Connectivity Program

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) benefit program that helps ensure households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more.

The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households. The ACP is limited to one monthly service discount per address.

All residential Internet services are eligible for the benefit.

What if I or anyone in my household already receive an ACP benefit with a wireless provider?

Each household can only receive one monthly benefit on one service at a time. You may choose to transfer your benefit to your Cincinnati Bell Internet service.

Can I get the Lifeline Program benefit in addition to my ACP benefit?

If you or members of your household qualify for both the Lifeline program and the ACP, you may apply both benefits to your Internet service.

How is my eligibility verified?

Your eligibility for the ACP benefit will be verified by USAC's National Verifier. Click here to get verified.

How long will it take to get enrolled and get my altafiber (Cincinnati Bell) Internet service order placed?

Once you submit your ACP Enrollment Application, if your enrollment is approved through USAC, we will contact you to set up new service or if you are an existing customer, we will apply your ACP discount to your existing service. Expect to be contacted in 2-3 business days.

What if I am currently enrolled in ACP with another provider but want to apply my benefit to altafiber (Cincinnati Bell) Internet service?

If you are currently enrolled in ACP with another provider and are receiving your $30 benefit with that provider, you can indicate on the altafiber ACP Enrollment Application that you would like your ACP benefit transferred to your new or existing altafiber Internet service.

I have the ACP benefit applied to my altafiber (Cincinnati Bell) Internet service already, how do I switch to the free internet package?

You may visit any of our altafiber retail stores or call us at 513-565-2210 to switch to the free internet plan.

I am a current altafiber (Cincinnati Bell) Internet customer. Do I still need to fill out the ACP Enrollment Application above to get enrolled?

The ACP Enrollment Application must be completed to enroll you in the ACP program. If you do not have an email address or current internet service, you may visit any of our altafiber retail stores to fill out a paper application.
